    On Wednesday, April 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. join Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities & History of Medicine for a screening of a powerful new documentary based on David Barton Smith's book The Power to Heal: Civil Rights, Medicare and the Struggle to Transform America's Health Care System (2016). The screening will take place at the Great Hall in the Trent Semans Center. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.

    Congratulations to Alison Edie who has received an internal É«½äÖ±²¥, All Babies and Children (ABC) Thrive award, for her proposal entitled Collaboration to Promote Early Childhood Well Being in Families Experiencing Homelessness. The project has been awarded $30,000 for a one-year period with a start date of May 1, 2018.

    Thank you to all those who participated in the 2018 Pursuing Radical Transformation Health Professions Education conference, on March 22 and 23, sponsored by the Institute for Education Excellence. We had two full days of idea-sharing, creative dialogue and networking. It began with our pre-conference workshop facilitated by Dr. James Lang, Professor of English and the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Assumption College in Worcester, MA.

The alumni panel will address non-academic careers in public policy and the paths that lead them to their current roles. The event will feature alumni with career experience with employers such as: National Academy for Sciences; US Department of Energy; US Food and Drug Administration; Venture Catalyst and more.
