8-28-25 - 3:00pm to 8-28-25 - 4:30pm

REGISTRATION:

Registration closes 24 hours before event start. If your availability changes please email asist@duke.edu to update your registration. Detailed directions, instructions for free parking, and any prep material will be emailed out one week and one day before the event.

Tired of zoom rooms and online trainings? Join us in person on August 28th 3:00-4:30 pm to discuss and explore the experiences mentoring and being mentored in research spaces through structured conversation among participants. This is not a lecture-style event.

Talking Circles are a new event format offered by ASIST. These events are designed to bring researchers across backgrounds and experience levels together to explore the intersection of research culture and research integrity. All participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, stories, and perspectives. The conversation will be held in a conference room located in the DOSI offices, which are in the same plaza as NaanStop.

Participation in this event fulfills the RCR-200 requirement for Faculty and Staff, the 200-level NSF RECR requirement, and the 715 RCR credit for graduate students. Due to the nature of the event format, participants will not be able to join after the event has begun. Participants must be present for the entire event to receive credit.

For more information on the NSF RECR training requirement please see the .
