Join Valena Beety, Robert H. McKinney Professor of Law at Indiana University Bloomington, for a discussion of her new book, Pink Crime.
An innocence litigator and former federal prosecutor, Professor Beety examines how prosecutorial overreach, flawed forensic science, and cultural panic intersect in the criminalization of motherhood, pregnancy, and queer identity. She also explores how recent changes in law and policy have expanded the reach of the criminal legal system.
