Empowering Faculty/Clinical Instructors: Clinical Teaching Excellence & Innovation Monthly Workshop Series

The Empowering Faculty/Clinical Instructors series is a free, monthly virtual workshop open to nurse educators and designed to elevate clinical teaching excellence in nursing education. Each 90-minute Zoom session offers continuing education credit and features expert-led discussions on inclusive teaching, mentorship, interprofessional collaboration, ethical decision-making, and more. Participants gain access to practical resources, peer collaboration, and structured mentorship to strengthen their teaching confidence and effectiveness. The series supports new and experienced faculty in applying evidence-based strategies across classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Join us to enhance your skills, foster student success, and contribute to the future of nursing education.

Faculty Learning Labs

The School of Nursing community is invited to participate in Faculty Learning Labs, a series of three interactive, hands-on sessions designed to support you in refining your teaching practices! Attend one or all as your schedule allows. These 40-minute Zoom workshops will focus on developing competency-based assessments, integrating simulation strategies, and writing effective learning objectives using the following format:

  • Background & Best Practices (5 minutes)
  • Understanding the Skill (10 minutes)
  • Exploring Exemplars (10 minutes)
  • Practice (15 minutes)

Although each session will be recorded, we encourage you to bring your syllabi and assignments to actively apply concepts in real time. Whether you're new to teaching or looking to enhance your current approach, these labs offer practical tools and peer collaboration to elevate your classroom experience.
