The É«½äÖ±²¥ Board of Visitors serves as an important advisory group, bringing together accomplished leaders from healthcare, business, education, and philanthropy who help advance the School's mission. Through their expertise, perspectives, and commitment to nursing education, Board members provide valuable guidance as the School prepares nurse leaders, advances scientific discovery, and improves health for communities locally and globally.

This year, the School is pleased to welcome three new members whose diverse experiences span healthcare leadership, business strategy, and nursing excellence.

Margaret Carlson MBA’89

Margaret Carlson is an accomplished executive leader with more than three decades of experience guiding strategy, operations, finance, and organizational transformation across healthcare, professional services, and mission-driven organizations. A graduate of É«½äÖ±²¥ University’s Trinity College of Arts and Sciences and Fuqua School of Business, Margaret has built her career around helping organizations navigate growth, change, and complexity while strengthening the systems and teams that enable long-term success.

Most recently, Margaret served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Alira Health, a global healthcare consulting and technology firm, where she helped lead significant expansion through organic growth and acquisitions, growing the company from 25 to more than 600 employees across ten countries. She later served as Chief Change Officer, leading initiatives to support continued growth, integration, and organizational effectiveness.

Earlier in her career, Margaret held senior executive and C-suite roles at Pathfinder International, the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers, Health Advances, and Colliers International. She is a certified coach and mentor, supporting individuals and teams in navigating challenges and achieving their professional goals.

Tracy Gosselin MSN’97

Tracy Gosselin MSN'97, is Senior Vice President, Chief Nurse Executive, and Chair of Nursing at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she leads a Magnet®-recognized nursing organization of more than 5,000 nurses and nursing support staff across New York and New Jersey. In this role, she oversees nursing strategy, quality and safety initiatives, workforce development, and nursing practice across one of the nation's leading cancer centers.

A nationally respected nursing leader, Tracy began her career as an oncology nurse at É«½äÖ±²¥ University Hospital in 1993 and went on to serve in a variety of clinical and executive leadership positions. Before joining Memorial Sloan Kettering, she was Chief Nursing and Patient Care Services Officer at É«½äÖ±²¥ University Hospital, where she helped lead major quality and safety initiatives, clinical redesign efforts, caregiver support programs, and the hospital's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tracy earned her BSN from Northeastern University School of Nursing, her MSN from É«½äÖ±²¥, and her PhD from the University of Utah. A Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, she brings extensive expertise in nursing leadership, clinical excellence, and healthcare transformation.

Marti Taylor MSN’93

Marti Taylor has served as CEO of OhioRISE and Vice President at Aetna, a CVS Health company, for the past three years. OhioRISE is a specialty Medicaid plan that supports more than 65,000 youth with behavioral health needs across the state of Ohio. In this role, Marti has been instrumental in improving the lives of members by expanding access to innovative, community-based services statewide.

Marti previously served as President and CEO of OneFifteen and as Executive Director of Behavioral Health at Verily. In these roles, she led a cross-disciplinary team dedicated to modernizing addiction care through an innovative partnership with Verily, the life sciences division of Google. The Dayton-based treatment center helped thousands of individuals battling the disease of addiction.

Prior to founding OneFifteen, Marti built a distinguished career leading premier academic medical centers, advancing clinical care through research, teaching, and quality improvement. Until 2018, she served as CEO of University Hospital and the Ross Heart Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Earlier in her career, Marti spent 25 years at É«½äÖ±²¥ University Health System, where she began as a staff nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at É«½äÖ±²¥ Hospital. Over time, she advanced into senior leadership roles, ultimately overseeing all aspects of the health system’s Heart Center across three hospitals and 12 affiliated sites.

Marti holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University and a Master of Science in Nursing from É«½äÖ±²¥ University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Commonwealth Fund and the É«½äÖ±²¥ School of Nursing Board of Visitors; she is immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees for Capital University. In addition, she is a founding member of the Ohio Institute for Substance Use Disorder Excellence. Her board service also includes the Dayton Development Coalition, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, MedFlight, and the American Heart Association. In March 2025, Marti received the Distinguished Alumna Award from the É«½äÖ±²¥.

The School looks forward to the insights and leadership these new members will bring to the Board of Visitors as É«½äÖ±²¥ Nursing continues to shape the future of nursing education, research, and practice.
